Often I have people come up and say they love the shirt I have on or ask me where I got that cool new gadget. They are almost always astounded when I tell them I got it for free! That's right I said "FREE"! Why do I get stuff for free? Because I'm an amazon reviewer!
One of those people that get sent free merchandise, products and gadgets to try and post an honest review. Most people that shop on amazon are looking at the "Star" rating to determine which product is best for their needs. I do it all the time. You look up headbands like this one Boho Headband 4 Pack and you will get over 60 options. How do you determine the one you want? You see how many stars it has on a 1-5 scale and then you read the reviews.
It should be no surprise that there are incentives for writing honest product reviews. The sellers on Amazon understand that this is how most of the consumers shop. So they need something to set their product above all the other headbands right?
So how do you become an Amazon reviewer?
STEPS TO BECOMING AN AMAZON REVIEWER
1.) You must be an Prime member. You can subscribe here at Amazon Prime
2.) Go back and post a review for every product you have ever purchased. The more reviews you do the further to the top of the preferred reviewers list you are.
3.) Sit back and wait for the emails to roll in. About 2 weeks after I reviewed everything I had ever purchased, I started getting emails from Amazon vendors asking me to review all sorts of products. I of course was most excited about the clothing haha!
4.) Pick an item from the emails sent that you want to review! Most vendors will let you do 1-2 items at a time. If they are an out of country seller they will typically ask that you ensure your order says fulfilled by Amazon otherwise it would be while before you receive your product.
5.) Go purchase the product. YES you have to buy the product! But hold up! Don't run away yet...trust me! You will like this!
6.) Once you receive your product try it out and write an honest review on Amazon.
7.) Take a screen shot of your review and email it back to the vendor with your Paypal information. They will send the money spent on the product back to you via Paypal.
NOTES:
Some things to note with this. Even if you post a negative review you will get refunded your money. They likely will want to know how they can improve on whatever your complaint was.
You do not get paid to review anything, you only get FREE products. So this is not a way to make a living, but definitely a fun way to get new stuff.
Products are limited. I have noticed with clothing, you may not get the color or pattern you want on this program because they are usually the ones that are not fulfilled by Amazon.
Vendors prefer reviews with pictures!
SUMMARY
All in all, I love the reviewer program with Amazon. I have had a blast doing it and I have been able to try an array of clothing lines and products. Some were great some were okay, none have been awful. Now you know the secret! So go get you some freebies.
